Please join LAI Baltimore and Bart Harvey, Development Director at Beatty Development Group, for a discussion on the firm’s redevelopment efforts at Perkins Homes in East Baltimore.Originally built in 1942, Perkins Homes consisted of 629 public housing apartment units in more than 50 barracks-style buildings. These long-neglected existing structures have been demolished as part of the PSO (Perkins/Somerset/Oldtown) Transformation Plan, an ambitious master plan that will transform Perkins Homes into a vibrant, mixed use, and mixed income neighborhood of choice. The redevelopment area spans eight contiguous blocks, including the original public housing site and two adjacent parcels.
